 This was a practice in etching and riveting that I liked.

The Meaning

ikigai is a japanese word meaning something along the lines of that which makes life most worth living. askew means wrong or awry. together they have a kind of existential meaning of a life's purpose gone awry. this is how it is. there is just being and the flux of existence, chaos made into whatever you want it to be. there is no one way things should be, no right or wrong. it can be ugly, beautiful, or nothing at all. it is simultaneously subjective and objective. it is painful, peaceful and humbling. there is only cause and effect. boring and breathtaking.
